Lounge Baby wasn't planned, it was a happy accident. The five-piece came together in July 2024 for a one-off private party, had the time of their lives, and decided they weren't done. What started as a single night became a band.
Based in Canberra, they draw from over a century of recorded music and originals. Performing songs released between 1918 and 2026, reimagined through rock, pop, lounge, and groove. With 112 years of collective experience between them, they bring a depth and instinct to every performance that's hard to fake and impossible to miss.
Fronted by Thea on lead vocals, who took the mic in January 2026, following on from the founding vocalist Brooke. The band features Steve on drums, Peter on guitar, Sharon on bass, and Vanessa on saxophone. Together, they're equally at home laying down a smooth background groove or igniting a dancefloor.
Known for reading a room and delivering exactly what it needs, Lounge Baby has become a regular fixture across Canberra's pubs, clubs, food festivals, and community events, and a trusted choice for corporate functions and private bookings.
